Divine Mercy Sunday - Hidden Graces
As Divine Mercy Sunday approaches, the Church offers an extraordinary outpouring of grace—but it is important to understand that two distinct gifts are available. First, through the message given to Saint Faustina Kowalska, Jesus promises that the soul who goes to Confession, receives Holy Communion, and trusts in His mercy may receive the complete forgiveness of all sin and punishment—a grace often compared to a second baptism. Notably, this extraordinary grace does not carry the additional technical requirement of complete detachment from all sin as defined in indulgence theology. At the same time, the Church also grants a plenary indulgence on this day, which does require confession, communion, prayer for the Pope, and full detachment from sin. Do not miss this moment of mercy—prepare your soul, receive the sacraments, and approach Jesus with deep trust, praying: “Jesus, I trust in You.”
