The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

The Agony of Our Lord in the Garden
We are drawn to the poignant moment when Jesus, in His humanity, faced the weight of our sins in the garden of Gethsemane. In the Gospel of Matthew (26:39), we find solace in the words of our Savior: "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will."

Our Lord is Scourged at the Pillar
We are confronted with the stark reality of Christ's suffering and humiliation for our redemption. In the Gospel of Matthew (27:26), we encounter the painful account: "So he released Barabbas for them; and after flogging Jesus, he handed him over to be crucified."

Our Lord is Crowned with Thorns
We encounter the harrowing episode where Christ, in His infinite love, endured the cruel mockery of a crown of thorns. In the Gospel of Matthew (27:29), we witness the painful scene: "And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, 'Hail, King of the Jews!'"

Our Lord Carries the Cross to Calvary
We are called to reflect on the profound journey of Christ, burdened with the weight of our sins, as He carries the Cross to Calvary. In the Gospel of Mark (15:21), we glimpse Simon of Cyrene compelled to help carry this heavy burden: "They compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross."

The Crucifixion of Our Lord
We reflect upon the transformative moment when Christ, in His ultimate act of love, was crucified for the redemption of humanity. In the Gospel of John (19:30), we hear the resounding words that echo through time: "When Jesus had received the wine, he said, 'It is finished.' Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."

The Hail Holy Queen (The Salve Regina)
Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. V. The Closing Prayer to the Rosary
Let us pray: O God, whose Only Begotten Son, by his life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord.

Recitation of the Marian Rosary
(Rosarii marialis recitatio)
A plenary indulgence is granted, if the Rosary is recited in a church or public oratory or in a
family group, a religious Community or pious Association; a partial indulgence is granted in
other circumstances.
"Now the Rosary is a certain formula of prayer, which is made up of fifteen decades of "Hail
Marys" with an "Our Father" before each decade, and in which the recitation of each decade is
accompanied by pious meditation on a particular mystery of our Redemption." (Roman
Breviary) The name "Rosary," however, is commonly used in reference to only a third part of
the fifteen decades.
The gaining of the plenary indulgence is regulated by the following norms:
1) The recitation of a third part only of the Rosary suffices; but the five decades must be recited continuously.
2) The vocal recitation must be accompanied by pious meditation on the mysteries.
3) In public recitation, the mysteries must be announced in the manner customary in the place; for private recitation, however, it suffices if the vocal recitation is accompanied by meditation on the mysteries.
4) For those belonging to the Oriental rites, amongst whom this devotion is not practiced, the Patriarchs can determine some other prayers in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary (for those of the Byzantine rite, for example, the Hymn "Akathistos" or the Office "Paraclisis"); to the prayers thus determined are accorded the same indulgences as for the Rosary.
